Bayview Women’s Run and Walk Goes Virtual in 2020!

The 38^th Annual Bayview Women’s Run and Walk is Going Virtual for 2020.  This event is presented by Soroptimist International of Burlington.  All proceeds will benefit Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services and Women’s Health Issues.  Because this year’s event will be virtual, run or walk in the places you most love during the weekend of the race.  Check out the vistas from your treadmill, back yard or neighborhood and send us your favorite view! The virtual event begins Friday May 15^th and goes through Sunday May 17th.  Parking is not an issue! Random prize drawings will occur throughout the weekend. To win a prize, you must be a registered participant of the race.

We understand that economic circumstances are tough right now, and that some loyal participants of our run may be unable to register for the race. SDVSAS invites them to participate in the run anyway! The more participants we have, the more awareness we raise for victims of violence.

If able, participants who would like to donate an amount under the $25 registration fee may do so directly through the SDVSAS webpage. During this time, abuse victims are now in more danger than ever due to isolation. Every little bit helps in our fight to end violence and support survivors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Event Rules

1. HAVE FUN!
2. Run/walk where you are (treadmill, backyard, neighborhood)
3. Adhere to local, state and national restrictions for keeping your distance from others; please do not congregate in large groups.
4. Take a photo of yourself and your bib# running or walking and share with us! Tag yourself at #BVWomens2020
