Internships offer many opportunities and are a great way to develop experience and skills while helping others. Interns are given the chance to showcase their talents and value at Skagit DVSAS and we work hard with you to create the best opportunity for all involved.
What’s the difference between an internship and volunteering?
At Skagit DVSAS an intern and volunteer are offered the same learning opportunities and experiences. The only difference is an intern is working with a school or community program (such as WorkForce or AARP) that has it’s own stipulations. They usually ask for the intern to accomplish a certain number of hours and/ or learning goals, and Skagit DVSAS facilitates that within our agency.
Please fill out the volunteer application, located in the Volunteer section, to apply. And make sure to check the internship box with your school or community program’s stipulation and information.
