What is Skagit DVSAS?

Skagit DVSAS is a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit organization located in Mount Vernon, WA serving Skagit County since 1979. Skagit DVSAS is the recognized provider of domestic violence and sexual assault services in Skagit County.

What services does SDVSAS offer?

Skagit DVSAS provides confidential assistance for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, rape, child sexual abuse, stalking, elder abuse, sexual assault and sexual harassment. Services include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy-based counseling, legal, medical and social services advocacy, support groups, children’s advocacy and community education and prevention.

How does Skagit DVSAS help survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault?

At SDVSAS, we work to increase awareness, support, activism, and education surrounding these difficult topics. We provide services, tools, and resources to clients in need and partner with community organizations to practice systems advocacy on behalf of those clients.

Who is behind the scenes at Skagit DVSAS?

We have a dedicated team of professionally-trained staff members on site and available 24 hrs a day to help clients in crisis. Additionally, we have a wonderfully rich cadre of volunteers and interns who help us keep the wheels turning and a caring, committed board of directors to help steer the course. Our agency is in good hands, so you can rest assured that our clients are in good hands, too.

How much does SDVSAS charge for services?

We never charge our clients for services rendered. All services are 100% free and confidential, funded by grants, community partners, and public donations.

Is my information safe with Skagit DVSAS?

Yes! We follow very strict policies and procedures to safeguard the information of our clients. Safety and security is a high priority to us and maintaining confidential records is a big part of that. We take this responsibility very seriously and keep all client information confidential.
