First, we would like to thank you for your support of our agency during these times in which community partnerships are integral to nonprofit success. SDVSAS values those in our community who support our mission more than we can say. Your generous assistance has lifted the spirits of our staff, clients, and board members during the last two years of virtual interaction, program pivoting, and isolation.
After much consideration, it is with sadness that we announce the postponement of our 2021 “Wine and Dine: Pop a Cork for Survivors” fundraising event, originally scheduled on September 23rd, 2021. While SDVSAS board members and staff were thrilled at the prospect of being able to thank our donors and sponsors in person and raise much-needed funds to support survivors in Skagit County, it is ultimately the safety of our community that SDVSAS must prioritize. Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Skagit County, we understand than an in-person event could be potentially risky for attendees and result in unintentionally spreading the virus.
Therefore, we have rescheduled this event for Thursday, June 23rd of 2022. We sincerely hope to see you there next summer!
